I have found both expected and hidden benefits to my work and family in the 7 years of working from home!
When I found out I was pregnant in 2003, I knew then that the benefits of working from home around my children would outweigh the paid 9-5 JOB that I was in. When I started out in my home based business, I had anticipated that working from home meant I wouldn’t have to find care for the kids when they were sick or organise daycare or after school care or babysitters for them. I was aware of great advantages such as having the time and flexibility to attend something important at school like reading groups, fairs or important times during my children’s day.
I found I was able to share and contribute in the things that my children did each day

I like to think that making that one choice to work from home 7 years ago meant it wasn’t only my children and husband who benefited from that decision but my extended family and friends. I use it every day to keep my clients up to date with current news and events and share information with my colleagues, family and friends.
